LEWISTON TRIBUNE Kootenai County sheriff’s deputy Jake Kremer went fishing for burbot in the Kootenai River earlier this month and caught four, the biggest one measuring 28.5 inches and weighing just over 5 pounds. He used herring and an ounce to an ounce-and-half weight, dropped it in the deepest hole he could find and “sure enough they were down there,” he said.
