Area prep, college athletes, teams enjoy night in the spotlight

COEUR d’ALENE — Oklahoma State softball All-American Vanessa Shippy, a former Lake City High standout, and University of Idaho women’s basketball star Mikayla Ferenz shared College Female Athlete of the Year honors at the 57th North Idaho Sports Awards banquet Saturday night at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
