The Packers beat the undefeated Chargers 32-6 on Saturday win the eighth-grade championship in Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle. The previous weekend, the Chargers beat the Packers 41-8. On Tuesday, the Packers won a Kansas tiebreaker against Lakeland for a second chance to redeem themselves and meet the Chargers again in the championship. “We preach to the kids about being committed to doing the right thing even when they don’t feel like it,” Packers head coach Darrin Owens said. “Football is an avenue to teach this kind of life lesson. We coaches are so proud of our boys.”
