LOREN BENOIT/Press In 1972, Deon and Terry Borchard opened a record store, the Long Ear, in the small town of Big Bear Lake, Calif. It wasn’t until 1985 that the music-loving couple moved — both their family and their record store — to Coeur d’Alene, where they’ve now been for 33 years.
