Larry and Char Carstensen, of Post Falls, formerly owned a gas station where static electricity caused a fire that engulfed a car in flames. During these cold, dry times, it's best not to re-enter a vehicle after you've started filling up as that can cause static electricity that can ignite a fire at the pump if you have not grounded yourself, they said. Their experience caused them to want to warn people about such dangers. (Courtesy photo)
