The Sting Timbers FC 02 Girls soccer team won the U16 championship at the Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament in Coeur d’Alene this past weekend. In their first game on Friday evening, Sting beat Missoula Strikers White 2002G-SE 5-0. Sting goals were scored by Abbie Lyman (assisted by Cailyn Garza), Sydney Harbison (assisted by Cailyn Garza), Geneva Bengtson (assisted by Kayli Lynn), Madyson Smith (assisted by Abbie Lyman), and Morgan Rust (assisted by Abbie Lyman). 
In their second game on Saturday morning, Sting beat FC Nova ECNL Reserves 02 3-0. Sting goals were scored by Julie Stith (assisted by Madyson Smith), Julie Stith on a penalty kick, and Madyson Smith (assisted by Cailyn Garza).
In their 3rd game on Saturday evening, Sting beat Valley Elite FC Gray 2002G-SE 4-0. Sting goals were scored by Madyson Smith (off a corner kick by Abbie Lyman), Abbie Lyman on a corner kick, McKenzie Mattis, and Maysen Deming.
In their final game of the tournament on Sunday morning, Sting beat Queen City FC Red 2002-SE  7-0. Geneva Bengtson scored 3 goals, all 3 assisted by Madyson Smith. Madyson Smith scored 1 goal (assisted by Geneva Bengtson), Cailyn Garza scored 2 goals (assisted by Madyson Smith and Geneva Bengtson), and Julie Stith scored 1 goal (assisted by Kayli Lynn). Sting goalkeeper Autumn Lambert did not allow a single goal all weekend.
