The Timbers North FC 07 Boys Red soccer team finished second in the Northwest Cup soccer tournament in Spokane this past weekend. The Timbers first suffered a 5-3 loss to the Spokane Sounders B07 S/V, but later Friday they tied NLTC B07 Brasil 2-2. Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Boise Timbers moved the boys into the semifinals. The Timbers then defeated WPFC B07 Black 3-2 to advance to the championship game, where the Timbers North faced NLTC B07 Brasil again, this time coming up short with a 4-2 loss and a second-place finish. Timbers goals this tournament were scored by Liam Martin (6), Ronan Sternberg (4), Mason Thaxton (4) and Philip Du (1).
