Team Real Life wrestlers competed in the Jason Crawford Memorial Tournament on April 7. The “Crawford” as it is called is the finale of the Washington Little Guys Wrestling League season and was held at the convention center in Spokane. This year’s edition was the 31st and hosted 1,601 wrestlers. Promoters of the event asked participants to arrive a bit early to try to get a picture for their submission to the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest one-day, one-venue wrestling tournament in the world. They are awaiting word on the acceptance from Guinness. The Crawford is named after Jason Crawford, a young local wrestler that was tragically killed in the 1980s. In the front row from left are Keegan Roll, 2nd; Jacob Kunzi, 3rd and AJ Spain, 3rd; second row from left, Caleb Alverson, 2nd; Brooklyn Anderson, 2nd; Trey Smith, 2nd and Byson Huber, 1st; and back row from left, Jackson Anderson, 2nd. Also placing, but not pictured: Benjamin Carrasco, 1st; Jonathan Hansen, 1st; Paxton Purcell, 1st; Gavin Rodriguez, 1st and Connor McCarroll, 3rd.
