Courtesy photo The Sting Timbers FC 05 Boys Red soccer team won the gold division at the Director's Cup tournament May 20-21 at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise. On May 20 the Sting beat the Boise Nationals Timber - White 3-2. Chris Mongan and Cooper Prohaska each had goals, and Landon Lee had two assists. That afternoon, the Sting lost 3-2 to the Idaho Rush - Blue. Ashton Ukich and Caden Thompson each scored for the Sting. On May 21 the Sting played the Boise Nationals Timber - Blue to a scoreless tie. In the championship game, the Sting beat the Idaho Rush - Blue 1-0. Miles Taylor had 10 saves in posting the shutout in goal.
