LOREN BENOIT/PressNathan Smalley holds his Special Olympics World Winter Games medals. Smalley went to Austria to compete in the advanced giant slalom, where he placed first, and the advanced slalom, where he placed second. Smalley has been skiing with Special Olympics for over 15 years but this was the first time he competed at a global level.
