The Sting Timbers FC ’06 Boys Yellow soccer team won first place in their division at the Three Blind Refs tournament last weekend in Kalispell, Mont. The first game was a win over the opposing team that forfeited by not showing up. Saturday evening the Sting won 7-2 over the Missoula Strikers White. Kai Delio scored 2 goals. Landon Miller had 1 goal and 2 assists. Gavin Samayoa had 1 goal and 1 assist. Jensen Elliott, Jacob Molina, and Ronan Sternberg each scored a goal. Sunday morning the Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers 5-2. Jacob Molina scored 3 goals and had 1 assist. Jensen Elliott and Ronan Sternberg each scored a goal. Eli Scarola had an assist. In the championship game, the Sting defeated Montana Rush White 6-0. Kai Delio scored 3 goals. Gavin Samayoa, Jensen Elliott, and Ari Rumpler each scored a goal. Jacob Molina had 2 assists and Ronan Sternberg had 1 assist. Rafael Rubio was goalkeeper throughout the tournament.
