The Sting Timbers ‘04 Red boys soccer team took 2nd place in the Performance Cup last weekend in Boise. They defeated the Wyoming JH United 1-0, with Tyler Gasper scoring the goal. In the second game they defeated the Missoula Strikers 5-0. Goals were scored by Tyler Gasper (2), Joseph Sarkis, Alex Reyes and Patrick Du. They then tied the FC Boise Nova Gold 1-1. The Sting goal was scored by Noah Janzen. They played the same team for the championship game, but came up short. The Sting goal was scored by Alex Reyes. In the front row from left are Andon Brandt, Alexander Nipp, Joseph Sarkis, Alex Reyes, Jameson Elliot, Bryce Allred and Evan Lowder; and back row from left, Byron Anderson, Kohrt Weber, Talon Mitchell, Patrick Du, Noah Janzen, Brayden Bengston, Jack Shrontz, Zak Wenglikowski and coach Camron Cutler.
