Trengove won the high jump and triple jump at both the Sandpoint Invitational and the Moscow Invitational. He also placed fifth in the high jump at the Pasco Invitational with a personal best jump of 6 feet, 4 inches.

Courtesy photo The Sting Timbers ‘04 Red boys soccer team took 2nd place in the Performance Cup last weekend in Boise. They defeated the Wyoming JH United 1-0, with Tyler Gasper scoring the goal. In the second game they defeated the Missoula Strikers 5-0. Goals were scored by Tyler Gasper (2), Joseph Sarkis, Alex Reyes and Patrick Du. They then tied the FC Boise Nova Gold 1-1. The Sting goal was scored by Noah Janzen. They played the same team for the championship game, but came up short. The Sting goal was scored by Alex Reyes. Courtesy photo On Sunday the VIP Juniors under-17 volleyball team swept the gold bracket at Evergreen Regional Volleyball Association U18 Championships held at the HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake. This was a back-to-back regional championship for VIP Juniors U17 as last year they won the U16 division. E.R.V.A. is all of Eastern Washington, Montana and North Idaho, and 25 teams participated in the U18 Regionals. VIP Juniors U17 will travel to Seattle May 27-29 for the Emerald City Classic Invitational. Sting Timbers FC ’05 boys Red: The Sting Timbers beat the Spokane Foxes Pumas 3-0 on April 14 at Hayden Meadows. Cooper Prohaska, Boston Spear, Gavin Schoener each scored once, and Miles Taylor earned the shutout in goal

On April 15 at Friendship Park in Spokane, the Sting Timbers beat the Spokane Foxes Pumas 4-2. Cooper Prohaska scored twice, Landon Lee and Jacob Ukich once each in the win. Caden Thompson had two assists, Landon Lee one.

Last weekend, the Sting Timbers played at Plantes Ferry Park in Spokane in the Washington Cup qualifying games.

On Friday the Sting Timbers lost 5-2 to the Spokane Foxes Pumas. Cooper Prohaska and Nate Wyatt scored for the Sting Timbers.

On Saturday the Sting Timbers fell 6-2 to Wenatchee FC. Landon Lee and Ashton Ukich each scored in the loss, and Cooper Prohaska had an assist. Later that day, the Sting Timbers beat the Spokane Breakers-Chester 2-1 on goals by Ashton Ukich and Landon Lee. Lee and Caden Thompson each had assists, and Miles Taylor had nine saves.

On Sunday, the Sting Timbers tied Washington East - Hartanov 2-2. Landon Lee and Ashton Ukich scored for the Sting Timbers, and Lee had an assist.

On Monday night the Sting Timbers lost 2-1 to the Spokane Breakers - Chester at Hayden Meadows. Landon Lee scored the lone Sting Timbers goal, assisted by Ashton Ukich.

Sting Timbers under-15 girls: The Sting Timbers lost 2-1 to the ISC Gunners on Saturday, with Erika Skindlov scoring the lone goal.

On Sunday the Sting Timbers lost 5-4 to CWSA 4-5. Jaizee Cessna, Erika Skindlov, Jordan Roth and Madison Sorsabal each scored once for the Sting Timbers, and Skindlov and Sorsabal each had assists.

Inferno FC U14 boys Johnson: The Inferno won 9-1 against Sting TImbers-White. Logan Koller scored a hat trick, Caleb Calkins and Jack Holloway each had two goals, and Logan Davis and Roman Smith both scored once. Logan Koller had two assists.

The Inferno then beat the Spokane SC Shadow United 7-1. Logan Keller scored a hat trick, Roman Smith added two goals, and Caleb Calkins and Tate Novak each scored once. Assists were by Logan Koller, Tate Novak and Roman Smith.

Sting Timbers FC girls 04 red: On Saturday, the Sting Timbers played to a scoreless tie vs. the Spokane SC Shadow Elite G03 Krum at Canfield Middle School in IPL league play. Danika Nowak had the shutout as goalkeeper.

Later that day, the Sting Timbers defeated the Three Rivers SC G04 Green team from the Tri Cities 1-0 in PSPL league play. Kylie Stone had the sole goal, while Danika Nowak had the shutout as keeper.

Continuing their PSPL play, on Sunday the Sting Timbers lost 2-1 to the IEYSA Valor SC G04 Maroon-Hardy team at Brentwood Elementary in Spokane. Reagan Cherry had the lone Sting Timbers goal on a breakaway.

Inferno ’04 boys: On Tuesday, April 18, the Inferno Boys’ 04 team defeated FC Spokane 5-0 at Post Falls High School to stay undefeated in the IPL. Kael McGowan had two goals, and Lance Gilmor, Ethan Wood, and Malachi Hutchens-Cohen each scored a goal. Zach Engelson and Paul Bradshaw each had an assist.

This past weekend, the Inferno competed in the Washington Cup qualifiers at Plantes Ferry Soccer Complex in Spokane. The first game, against an undefeated Wenatchee team, ended in a 1-1 tie. Malachi Hutchens-Cohen scored a goal late in the game to preserve the draw for the Inferno. Kael McGowan had eight saves in goal. Later that day, the Inferno lost 3-1 to the Pullman Hawks. Ross Lindhorst scored the lone goal for the Inferno.

On Sunday, the Inferno played C.B. United to a 1-1 draw. Lance Gilmor scored the goal for Inferno on an assist from Evan Brinkmeier.

Sting Timbers FC ’02 girls: The Sting Timbers took first place in the Performance Cup tournament in Boise last weekend.

On Saturday, the Sting beat Utah Avalanche White North 1-0. Kameron Fisbeck scored for Sting while Alex Plucker had the shutout in goal.

Also on Saturday, the Sting beat PVSC United 2-1 with Sting goals scored by Geneva Bengtson and Alexi Wilson.

In the championship game on Sunday, the Sting beat the Indie Chicas 2002 CYAN 3-1. Sting goals were scored by Madyson Smith, Geneva Bengtson assisted by Madyson Smith, and Geneva Bengtson off a throw in from Madison Fain. Goalie Alex Plucker allowed two goals all weekend.

Sting Timbers FC ’06 boys: The Sting Timbers shut out Spokane Sounders B07 South A 4-0 Friday night. Greyson Hoffman, Jackson Nickel, Bryant Donovan and Aidan Rice each scored in the win.

Sting Timbers FC ’01 boys: The Sting Timbers took first place in the Gold division of the Performance Cup in Boise April 21-23.

The Sting Timbers won game 1 against FC Nova 02B Gold 6-1 with Greyden Lee having 2 goals, and Jacob Janzen, Tyler Shaw and McKie Gregory with one goal each. Cameron Dance had an assist.

Game 2 was a 1-0 win against Blitz FC 01B Gold. The lone goal was made by Greyden Lee. Chase Norris and Aidan Hassell combined for a shutout in goal.

Game 3 was a win against Arsenal United 01B 4-0 with 3 goals by Greyden Lee, and 1 goal and 2 assists by Jacob Janzen. Chase Norris had the shutout in goal.

Iin the championship game, the Sting Timbers beat FC Nova 01B Gold 2-0 with 2 goals by Greyden Lee, and an assist from Cameron Dance and Drake Prohaska. Chase Norris had the shutout in goal.

Sting Timbers FC ’08 girls: The Sting Timbers played Moscow United on Saturday. The Sting Timbers FC goal was scored by Sloan Waddell with assist from Anna Ploof and Sofia Peppin.
