<p><span>Courtesy photo</span></p><p><span>The North Idaho XC team recently took 17 runners ages 9-15 to Albuquerque, N.M., for the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics.  The team is comprised of 20 elite cross country runners from Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, Post Falls, Sandpoint and Liberty Lake running either a 2K, 3K, 4K or 5K depending on age.  The runners had a qualifying association race in Pasco, Wash., and then a qualifying regional race in Pasco to send the best runners in the Northwest to Albuquerque. North Idaho XC, which was founded by Mark Curtis and is currently led by Erin Hart, has qualified runners every year for the past 11 seasons.  Top runners in the area are encouraged to try out for the 2016 team starting in August by contacting coach Erin Hart at</span><a href="mailto:ely376@hotmail.com" target="_blank">ely376@hotmail.com</a><span>.
