SHAWN GUST/Press Dan Schmidt, a laborer with Thorco Electrical Construction, Inc., uses a saw on the asphalt Thursday while preparing an area for the installation of street signals on the corner of Spokane Street and Fourth Avenue in Post Falls. The traffic signals at Fourth and Spokane are the first improvement for the Spokane Street corridor under a project funded through Post Falls' Urban Renewal Agency. The signals are expected to be complete in about a month. Other improvements of the $2.2 million project will include a median with landscaped raised sections and landscaping, intermittent parallel parking, a pedestrian/bike trail and landscaping and improvements to the Centennial Trail crossing.
