<p>Carson May watches over the crowded City Beach in Coeur d'Alene during his midday shift on Sunday. May has been a lifeguard for three weeks and says he enjoys the heat but being in his covered guard tower makes it a bit cooler. Sunday's high temperature was 96 degrees.</p>
