<p>JEROME A. POLLOS/Press When Freda Emtman wanted a job, she and her girlfriend hitchhiked from Spokane to Kellogg with suitcases in hand and that day, Freda landed a job waiting tables at a boarding house. "I've always been able to find a job and work," said Freda who celebrated her 102nd birthday on Sunday at Heritage Place in Coeur d'Alene. "It's probably while I'm still around. I keep myself busy." The Fairfield, Wash. native received more than 100 birthday cards, a number of flower bouquets and other gifts from friends and family. And her family, well, according to Freda, "They just keep coming." She has five children, 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and about a dozen or more great-great-grandchildren. "I'm just going to take what the lord gives me and enjoy it."</p>
