OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
ANIMALS: They need more pals
Would you please publish something about the serious need for volunteers at the local shelter (KHS)!
WREATHS: More to that story
Ref: Wreaths across North Idaho by Devin Heilman.
SCAMS: 'Tis always the season
My wife, Gladys, was the intended victim of a new phone scam twice this morning. Both callers had thick India-sounding accents.
POEM: Saint Nick's Touch
Good old jolly Saint Nick,
SHOW: Nothing but the truth
The recent PBS showing of “Our Private Idaho” has generated a surprising amount of emotional reaction locally. My perspective is that it wasn’t an attack on Idaho. It merely pointed out a statistic that Idaho is pr…
LYRICS: Well worth reflection
This is just a reminder of the Reason for the Season:
DEER: Dalton or Snitch City?

MILLIE: It's all in your outlook
I feel compelled to write this letter about Millie and Beverly. I have lived several places: New Jersey, California and now Idaho. Because of a job opportunity for my husband, we moved to California. I told my husb…
NUMBERS: Have fun with these
Here’s something to think over. I saw the picture of the little girl who had her 11th birthday on 12/13/14. I have an interesting birthday…I think. I was born on 1/9/38 — translates to 1938, right? The following ye…
WARDELL: A fitting tribute
Thank you for the well written editorial of Friday, Dec. 12.As a close longtime friend and neighbor of Wendell Wardell, I know how hard he worked. “If it was easy, anybody could do it.”
