OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
COLUMN: Right on, Phil
I welcome and appreciate the MY TURN offering by Phil Ward (Nov. 16).
POLITICS: Problems in a nutshell
Apparently Ed Torrence (11/11/18) believes he is much smarter than I because I am a Democrat. I challenge him to prove it. But then he said he’d rather elect a dumb ole Republican than a smart Democrat. And therein…
DRIVERS: Phones begone
I totally agree with the Nov. 16 editorial in The Press! Please wake up and put your phones away when driving. If you need to answer your phone, pull over to the side of the road or a parking lot.
COLUMN: Opinion quite clear
“A Brand New Day” with Steve Cameron: NOT WORTH THE INK!
ROADWORK: Thanks, and suggestions
The new paved portion of 95 is wonderful. Concerning Mica Hill, I am wondering why center cement barriers were not installed to keep people from crossing over the center and dying in a head-on crash. Also some sign…
ZAGS: Big game MIA
I was surprised that in the sports section Thursday there was no article about Gonzaga winning the Maui Classic, beating number one Duke. What gives?

HYPOCRISY: See it now
It seems some believe the public has a short memory span, and can’t see hypocrisy.
ELECTION: Same ol'
Another election and voters seem to return those that run the governments they complain about. Perhaps someday our children and grandchildren will do a real change.
GOOKIN: Tale of tax tape
Dan Gookin’s LTE, Sun Nov. 18 — Solid! Unfortunately many residents, and most if not all of our local representation, fail to realize that we cannot stand steadfast against taxation while growth overwhelms antiquat…
BUSTED: Letter too long
I read Sunday’s Press, including the letters from the citizenry. One thing jumped out at me immediately; the letter from Dan Gookin appeared to exceed your 250 word limit. After reading his great letter, I counted …
REPORTER: Well done, Devin
Press reporter Devin Weeks recently wrote a wonderful story about the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club’s annual Veterans Day event. It was a touching event with abundant adulation for the four men we honored that day.
