POLITICS: Problems in a nutshell
Apparently Ed Torrence (11/11/18) believes he is much smarter than I because I am a Democrat. I challenge him to prove it. But then he said he’d rather elect a dumb ole Republican than a smart Democrat. And therein abides all the political problems in our country.
Idaho voters willingly passed Proposition 2 for Medicaid, but rejected Rebecca Schroeder, a candidate who worked to get it on the ballot. Per Ed, it would have passed if she was a Republican, but if she was a Republican, Proposition 2 wouldn’t have been on the ballot.
Ed seems to believe he has some divine power to label others, such as Liberals as immoral, evil, wicked and not embracing the Constitution. Something tells me Ed only watches Fox News.
From my rather old American College Dictionary the meaning of Liberal is 1) favorable to progress or reform, 2) favorable to leaving the individual as unrestricted as possible in the opportunities of self-expression or self-fulfillment, 3) free from bigotry or prejudice, tolerant, and 4) giving freely or abundantly. Seems to me all these qualities are much better than hate.
