OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
WHITEHEAD: Stick to the real issues
Sunday’s article on candidate for Kootenai County sheriff, Richard Whitehead, was a despicable example of his opponent’s lack of character and showed his desperation. This is a typical maneuver of desperate people …
BOE: Still waiting for answers
Ah. North Idaho Life. Keith Boe. It’s all coming together.
PARKING FEES: Mr. Boe's rebuttal
It is rather insulting and concerning that the Coeur d’Alene Press mocks the elderly as “wobbly oldsters” and belittles single moms in our community. How heartless are you?
PRESS: Unfair in Trump article
It is apparent that you have chosen sides by choosing to print an article (July 16 world/nation briefs) that blames our president for all the discord. It reaches its conclusions by reassembling words and phrases ta…
JULY 4: Hate on parade
I’ve put off writing this letter with the certain belief that it would be just one among dozens The Press would receive on the matter. Sadly, The Press hasn’t published any such letter, compelling me to write my ow…
RENEWAL: Alive in Spirit Lake
The Wednesday article about the unsuccessful attempt by an organization to subject urban renewal agencies to undue political interference prompts me to illustrate how it operates and how a small town’s fortunes can…

EDUCATION: Reward best parents, students
I listened to state Representatives Jim Addis and Paul Amador speak at the Kootenai County Democrat lunch Friday.
POLITICS: Support electoral college
Many people are determined to eliminate the electoral college. Some of the unlearned U.S. representatives want to enroll in it. A good course on the Constitution needs to be taught to our Congress.
ABORTION: Where did that come from?
In the July 12 issue of The Press, John Tappero criticizes my July 7 letter commending MoveOn for their demonstration against our abuse of immigrant children at the southern border. Also, in comparing activism like…
COMMUNISTS: Democrats, they're invading
Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country. Recently, I read a news item on Newsmax covering the annual U.S. Communist Party meeting. They were very excited about infiltrating and…
