WHITEHEAD: Stick to the real issues

Sunday’s article on candidate for Kootenai County sheriff, Richard Whitehead, was a despicable example of his opponent’s lack of character and showed his desperation. This is a typical maneuver of desperate people in the political arena.

I ask one question of the people of Kootenai County. “Do you want a retired Los Angeles County officer running our sheriff’s department”? Do you want a man who instead of running on the issues facing our sheriff’s department, runs on a platform of personality assassination? I know the background of Richard and know him to be honorable, honest, and above all constitutional. Richard’s opponent should be ashamed but I assure you he is not. Let those without sin throw the first stone comes to mind.
