OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
BIASES: Just watch network TV
I just wanted to voice my agreement with Ralph Ginorio’s My Turn (July 20 Press) except to say that the racial and cultural bias is not limited to film. It is even more prevalent on network television, even the adv…
ZOE: There's no excuse, Bob
I would like to respond to Bob Hunt’s letter on June 28. It was obvious to me in your commentary concerning my granddaughter Zoe O’Brien that it was really about your politics and your bitterness about a whole lot …
SOMALI: Is that a dirty word?
Ilhan Omar entered the U.S. under a legal volunteer agency and attended the University of North Dakota. She is among thousands of Somalis coming here due to the civil war in their country. Quite a community in the …
WOLVES: GOP proposal goes too far
Idaho GOP officials’ consideration to designate Idaho as a “wolf hunter sanctuary state” should be rephrased: “Idaho wolf killing fields unlimited.”
IMMIGRATION: An American embarrassment
America has always been a melting pot of different cultures. Let’s face it, none of us are indigenous except for the American Indians. It’s just that many of our ancestors immigrated during a time when the Statue o…
RACE: Melting pot makes sense
Regarding the future of the WHITE race, a friend recently said to me: “At some point in the near future WHITE people are going to be a minority in this country!”

WHITEHEAD: Must be the best candidate
It’s not often that my husband asks if I read the article on the front page in Sunday’s paper. Neither of us was really thinking about who to vote for Kootenai Country Sheriff but that article sealed the deal. Rich…
TRUMP: Idaho complicit in silence
Why is our Idaho Congressional delegation so silent about President Trump? I have emailed them the following comments, but I do not expect an intelligent and truthful reply:
WHITEHEAD: Old 'news' is pathetic
Seriously? A 14-year-old notice of a personal bankruptcy filing rates a front page, top of the banner, bold headline? Re:“Sheriff candidate filed for bankruptcy in 2005,” I thought the Press was supposed to be a “n…
DEBATES: Socialism on full display
After watching the first two Democrat presidential debates (it was painful), I’m convinced that it’s no longer a Democratic Party, but woefully a socialist party. It seemed to me ALL the candidates are of the same …
NEWS FLASH: Gibson for president
Wow! I am just shocked as some readers will be. I’ve switched sides. I am now a devout Democrat. I was studying the enemy’s playbook (watching CNN) when it hit me. They’re right, they’re totally right!
