COMMUNISM: A local alert
On Nov. 9, a Facebook post revealed a picture of a local business with a Communist symbol at Riverstone. As a lifetime local resident, I am disgusted and appalled that they were allowed to put it up.
SHOOTING: The next step
Hellllllllooooooo? How many more school shootings are we going to have before we all realize schools need to be made military style? Fenced completely, metal detectors, etc. We’re talking about our kids! We have be…
IMPEACHMENT: Just desperate Democrats
The wheels of the impeachment inquiry fiasco have barely left ground and already Hagadone’s liberal leftist paper has our president convicted (see page A3, Nov. 13) article by Jim Jones and Associated Press. Two ma…
SPEECH: Protect all kinds
The Constitution guarantees us all free speech. During the last decade a new term has sprung up and they call it hate speech. Who defines what hate speech is and is not?
LEAVES: Adventist rakers applauded
Thank you, thank you to Maryann, Steve and Bill from the Adventist Church who raked our leaves on Veterans Day. We saw the offer in The Press, called and were so happy you could help. Thank you for your service. GO…
RISCH: Provide presidential oversight
As the Chair of the Senate Foreign and Intelligence Committees and the Chair of the Senate Ethics Committee, James Risch owes his country the duty of presidential oversight. He and his committee have failed utterly…

TESTIMONY: See for yourself
I was watching CSPAN Tuesday and ICE and Homeland Security were being questioned. For some reason, the Democrats asked questions and when the people being questioned tried to respond, they were interrupted. Why cal…
PC: Enemy of the people
I want to commend Mr. David Mitchell of Post Falls for writing his letter about North Idaho College inclusion policy. I could not agree more. It takes bravery to stand up to the politically correct these days.
FAIRGROUNDS: Keep hands off
Leave our fairgrounds alone! It’s probably the only sweet spot of good old Kootenai left!
TRUMP: Compared to Jesus
About 2 1/2 years ago, we first learned about the Washington, D.C., swamp and I just thought it was political rhetoric. I was so wrong. The swamp is so real and has revealed quite a mob so deeply infected by its to…
