OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
ATHEISTS: You're invited to dinner
Thank you for giving some background Tuesday about the area billboard campaign by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
CARTOON: No laughing matter
I and many of my friends find the cartoon “Useful and Wasteful Spending” next to the Editorial on page A4 on July 27 reprehensible and disgustingly offensive. At 80 years of age and once a military man, as many of …
MISHAP: Good guys step up
On Thursday, July 19th, I was driving into Coeur d’Alene from my home in Post Falls when the community I live in displayed heroic qualities of which I had never seen before.
TRUTH: It's worth your avid pursuit
I would like to remind all the people who write in with their verbatim rhetoric from the lame stream media defending Obama that beyond the smoke and mirrors is the truth. Let me begin with Cecil Kelly III who wrote…
SCHOOL: No more nightmare
I am the mother of two children who attend Winton Elementary, one going into 4th grade and the other into 1st. The staff at Winton provides a fantastic atmosphere for our children to learn and thrive in, but the su…
RESOURCES: Get creative and prosper
I appreciated the letter recently suggesting using the high school baseball fields for the Legion teams. Maybe ideas like that, with wise use of under-utilized resources by different governments, make too much sens…
DOGS: Poop spoils pretty park

REFORM: IEA plays the bully
Marty Meyer writes in “REFORM: That’s not the way it is” (July 22) that the Students Come First laws should be overturned so that “educators through their professional organization can work together with parents an…
ROMNEY: Can't be PC enough
Does the media ever think about its particular brand of misinformation?
HOAs: What good are they?
Homeowner Associations have run amok! Once a good idea, HOAs have now, it seems, evolved into something twisted and perverse. Most HOA enforcers are untrained volunteers from the very community the HOA represents.
MARRIAGE: Try to love everyone
What would God think of his world of 2012? Probably that there are too many people that hate in his world. Hate because of the color of your skin; hate because of your religion; hate because you love someone of you…
HYDRO: Let the races begin
The news about the Hydro races being moved up to 2013 was well received by many of us in the beautiful Idaho Panhandle. The fact that they will be outside of city limits is also good news, because our deadbeat City…
