UNIVERSITIES: Shouldn’t give them tax dollars
Confused,
All this talk about suspending money to some of these woke colleges, ever wonder why tax dollars are given to them?
Some of the colleges with huge endowments; Columbia: 14.8 billion, Harvard: 50.7 billion, Yale: 40.7 billion, Stanford: 36 billion and Princeton: 33 billion. This is not thousands or even millions, it’s billions of dollars.
Twenty-one institutions reported endowments valued at more than $10 billion, and another 29 had endowments between $5 billion and $10 billion. You can look all this up. I wonder what the interest is on these?
It takes 1,000 millions to make one billion. Even with a college degree, it is hard to wrap your head around this fact.
So it begs the question, why do we give our tax dollars to them? Is this just another example of government waste?
