Downtown Coeur d'Alene's Winefest will be April 5

Wine enthusiasts and friends are invited to discover a wave of flavors at Downtown Coeur d’Alene’s Winefest from 2 to 6 p.m. April 5.

Participants will sample regional wines paired with gourmet bites made by local chefs. Sip, savor and stroll through downtown Coeur d’Alene's shops and boutiques while soaking in the experience at more than 15 tasting locations.

Samples of pairings that will be featured at Winefest include:

• Beef Wellington bites from Bistro 41 paired with Joel Gott Washington Red Blend
• Rosemary lamb crostini with black garlic aioli from Chelsea's Gypsy Kitchen paired with Coeur d'Alene Cellars Malbec
• Raspberry beignets from Woops! Bakeshop paired with Townshend Red Vortex
• Duck duck mousse from Honey Eatery paired with Ribas Del Cua Spanish Red

Visit cdadowntown.com for Wine and Bites tickets, which are $35 each and include 10 wine tastings with paired bites. Extra tastings and wine glass holder lanyards will be available for purchase the day of the event at check-in, located in the Plaza Shops at 210 E. Sherman Ave.
