Chamber Murder Mystery event next week in Wallace
WALLACE — The Silver Valley Chamber’s interactive production, "Murder Mystery: Future Stars of the Silver Valley," opens next week.
Former Chamber President Juli Zook, who has been involved in the organization of the show and is one of the featured cast members, promises a night to remember.
“Everybody loves these murder mysteries, and they’ve been really well attended in the past,” Zook said. “It’s so much fun to do these things with locals, including the sheriff and undersheriff.”
The show also features several of the Silver Valley’s finest, including Drew Plate, Mary Rehnborg, Emily Haas, Jessica Barker, Ryan Mazzrey, Mallorie Flynn, Johnny McGee, Kiely Crawford-McGee, as well as Shoshone County Sheriff Holly Lindsey and Undersheriff Lance Stutzke.
The show was written by Kellogg native David Pierce, a former theater major and veteran of the Sixth Street Melodrama. It is a spinoff of reality talent shows, where the winner of a previous show has returned to the competition for a special performance, and murderous hijinks ensue.
“David has crafted a story that will keep the audience guessing until the very end,” Zook said. “It’s an original, not out of a box, and totally fun.”
Before the show starts, the chamber will host a special social hour, including appetizers provided by GarrenTeed BBQ.
Hosted at the Wallace Inn, the event is one of the chamber's main fundraisers.
The Silver Valley Chamber’s Murder Mystery: Future Stars of the Silver Valley is Saturday, April 5, with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the show. Tickets: 208-784-0821, events@silvervalleychamber.com or becca@silvervalleychamber.com.
“This is going to be so much fun. Everyone has a good time,” Zook said. “So, grab your tickets and sharpen your detective skills. Anyone could be the killer ... even me.”
