    Photo by KARI HYNES The Sting SC Girls 11 DPL soccer team as secured two victories at home last weekend, outscoring their opponents 17-0. The Sting defeated Mt. Rainier FC G11 DPL 9-0 on Saturday and followed up with an 8-0 win against Washington West Surf G11 DPL on Sunday. The Sting SC set the tone early in Saturday's match against Mt. Rainier FC. Payton Brennan opened the scoring with a header off a corner kick from Olivia Nusser. Brennan struck again later in the game, netting her second goal. Harper Overland, Presley Moreau, and Brightyn Gatten each added a goal. Hailey Hayes had two goals, including one assisted by Presley Moreau. Kylie Lorona also found the back of the net twice, with assists from Hailey Hayes and Harper Overland. On Sunday, strikers Presley Moreau and Hailey Hayes led the charge, with Moreau scoring a four goals and Hayes adding three, one of which was assisted by Elle Sousley. Harper Overland capped off the scoring with a goal of her own, sealing the 8-0 victory. Goalkeeper Constance Ovendale recorded back-to-back shutouts. Above at right, Brightyn Gatten of the Sting sends the ball downfield.
