Marlena 'Gail' Bicknell, 80

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Bicknell, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of Post Falls Baptist Church, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2025, when she was 80 years old.

She was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Clovis, N.M., to Benjamin Hillock and Betty J. Martin Hillock. She lived a life filled with unwavering faith and boundless love. She married Lonnie T. Bicknell on Jan. 22, 1964. They moved all over Washington and Oregon before settling in Idaho. She built a beautiful life centered on her family and the teachings of Christ.

Gail's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was a dedicated member of Post Falls Baptist Church for over 34 years, where she served faithfully. Her gentle spirit and unwavering belief in the power of prayer touched the lives of all who knew her. She found joy in fellowship and strength in her church family.

Above all, Gail treasured her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to MaryAnn Bicknell Goad, who was married to Danny D. Goad Sr., Lonnie T. Bicknell Jr. and Todd O. A. Bicknell. Her grandchildren, Danny D. Goad Jr., married to Jessica M. Tobin Goad, and Tiffany A. Goad Powell, married to McDaniel W. Powell. And great-grandchildren Brookelynn R. Goad, preceded in death by Madison T. Goad, Hunter D. Goad and Rhett D. Goad. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She instilled in her family the importance of faith, kindness and unconditional love.

Gail will be remembered for a warm smile, generous heart, gentle spirit and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
