CHS technology students excel at Idaho State Leadership Conference
COEUR d'ALENE — Coeur d'Alene High School’s chapter of the Technology Student Association made an impression during last week's Idaho TSA State Leadership Conference in Meridian.
Students participated in a variety of competitive events focused on engineering and architecture, all designed to foster leadership, critical thinking and 21st-century skills, a press release said.
The events allowed students to showcase their abilities in fields such as Dragster Design, Structural Design and Engineering, Manufacturing Prototype, CAD Architecture, Architectural Design and Technology Problem Solving.
The Coeur d'Alene TSA team earned several awards across multiple categories, listed below:
Dragster Design
1st Place – Quinn Warner
2nd Place – Oliver Forsberg
Structural Design and Engineering
1st Place – Abigail Kendall and Haileigh Alban
Manufacturing Prototype
1st Place – Oliver Forsberg
CAD Architecture
2nd Place – Jack Daigle
Technology Problem Solving
1st Place – Quinn Warner and Jack Daigle
“I am incredibly proud of these students for making it to the state conference,” said TSA adviser Zachary Russell. “They have dedicated countless hours outside of school fundraising and preparing for their events, and their hard work truly paid off.”
For Russell, the true highlight was seeing the joy on his students’ faces as they received their awards.
“It’s a testament to their dedication and passion,” Russell said.
