PREP BASKETBALL: Engelson, Mitley shine in annual District 1 All-Star Games
• BOYS
MULLAN — Timberlake High senior Tyler Engelson scored a team-high 24 points, hitting five 3-pointers for the East in a 106-98 overtime win over the West in the annual District 1 All-Star Game at the Mullan Pavilion.
Trenton McLean, a senior from Post Falls High, added 18 points for the East, which trailed 35-14 after the first quarter, but outscored the West 10-2 in overtime.
Lakeland Mason Hensley, who won the slam dunk contest at halftime, scored 32 points for the West.
Genesis Prep’s Spencer Farrell won the 3-point contest at halftime.

Lakeland’s Landree Simon, who has signed with NAIA University of Providence in Great Falls, Mont., added 18 for the West.
Summer Nelke of Genesis Prep won the 3-point contest at halftime.
Clark Fork’s Hannah Thompson scored eight points for the East.
