Artists wanted for 'Art Uplifts' show at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center

| March 21, 2025 1:00 AM

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center is seeking submissions for its upcoming "Art Uplifts" show.

Those who find healing, hope and joy through creative expression are invited to share their works in this special community exhibit that celebrates the transformative power of art. All ages are welcome.

Entering its fourth year, "Art Uplifts" is annually held in memory of Jimmy Magnuson, a much-loved Coeur d'Alene-born artist and musician who died in 2021 at age 36.

The creations showcased in "Art Uplifts" represent journeys of hope, healing and courage. Art has the power to uplift and help navigate life's challenges: recovery, grief, loss, diagnosis and more. No matter the struggle, situation or journey, art can uplift us all.

The exhibit will run June 7 through July 19. Submissions will be accepted until May 17.

Each artist may submit up to two pieces. No submission fees will be required for this non-juried show. It is the JACC's most popular show, with over 40 artists exhibiting their works in 2024.

All work must be framed and ready to hang, with frames in good condition, with wire and backs of frames finished and labeled. No sawtooth hangers. Exceptions will be made for children's art or 3D pieces.

Prints and small items will be accepted for the "gift shop" area of the upstairs gallery. All work must be suitable for hanging. The JACC reserves the right to not include any piece of art deemed inappropriate for the exhibit.

Visit thejacklincenter.org for details.

The JACC's mission is to share the arts and its historic building with the community. It is located at 405 N. William St., Post Falls.
