Timberlake 7-2
Colville 5-16
COLVILLE, Wash. — Freshman Shae Jones struck out nine in the first game for the Tigers, who split a doubleheader with the Crimson Hawks at Colville High.
Marissa Needs homered in the second game for Timberlake (2-1), which is scheduled to host Reardan in a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
“It was a good outing today,” Timberlake coach Casi Lupinacci said. “Reese Allaway hit the ball well today. Shae threw well on the mound. We had more miscues defensively than we should, but we continue to learn from mistakes. Marissa gave us a couple innings in the second game. We need to work on not giving more than three outs each inning to cut back on our pitch count. Overall, I’m happy with how the day went.”
