NOTICE OF PUBLIC FEE INCREASE HEARING  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of Coeur d’Alene School District #271, located in Kootenai County, Idaho, will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed increase in fees for Associated Student Body (ASB) Cards. This proposed increase exceeds 5% of the fees collected during the 2024-2025 school year.     The hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025, at 4:00 PM PDT and will take place in the Midtown Center Meeting Room, located at 1505 N. 5th Street, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The purpose of the hearing is to explain the reasons for the proposed increase and to gather public comments. If approved, these changes will take effect in the 2025-26 school year.    ASB card fees have not been increased in over 20 years. LAKES HIGHWAY DISTRICT  ANNOUNCEMENT    2025 Road Construction Projects Temporarily Impacting Traffic    Locally funded road reconstruction work on Diagonal Road is expected to begin the week of June 2nd. This is a 90-day construction project with the completion date scheduled for August 28th. During this time the road will be closed to through traffic. We ask for those who desire to travel through this area to follow the detour routes. Emergency services and residents who live within the construction project limits will be provided access at all times.  Additionally, the Lakes Highway District will be overlaying the existing pavement with new asphalt on Seasons Road between Highway 41 and Ramsey starting May 12th; overlying pavement in the Tree Farm Subdivision on Twin Lakes Ave, Golden, Lodestar and Silver Lane beginning May 21st. There will also be turn lane improvements being constructed on Pope Road beginning August 27th. Roads will remain open in these areas, but will be restricted with lane and speed reductions.   These locally contracted road construction projects will be performed by Interstate Concrete and Asphalt, with their subcontractor Terra Underground at their bid of $3.1-million.   The Lakes Highway and Post Falls Highway District have also partnered through the Federal Aid Highway Safety Improvement Program to reconstruct the intersection of Huetter and Lancaster. Construction costs for this project are estimated to be $2.4-million and anticipated to begin this summer.  LAKES HIGHWAY DISTRICT  Eric W. LAKES HIGHWAY DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENT 2025 Road Maintenance Projects Temporarily Impacting Traffic Lakes Highway District will be performing its annual pavement preservation chip sealing work beginning the week of July 7th. Roads scheduled for chip sealing this year consist of: Amulet Cr, Archer Rd, Remington Rd, Culdera, Autry Ln, Howard Rd, Chilco Rd, Ramsey Rd, Abbott, Dolan Rd, Duke Ln, Eclipse Rd, Hollow Top, Garwood Rd, Pope Rd, Rimrock Rd, Dylan Ct, Ceylon, Hudlow Rd, Lakeview Dr, Lancaster Rd, Ferndale, E. Hayden Lake Rd, Lander Rd, Lekstrum Rd, Old Hwy 95, Leonard Lp, Nautical Lp, Watkins Ln, Pulaski Rd, Lakeview Dr, Sims Ln, Walking Horse Ln, Starling Meadows Ct, TJ Trail, Wendland Way.
