TOWN HALL: Plenty of blame to be shared
After reading about the KCRCC Town Hall meeting and the fiasco afterward I have come to the following conclusions.
1. The gentleman (I’m being kind) that was the MC should never be allowed to host anything before the public. Ever.
2. Sheriff Norris was correct in asking the woman to cease and desist the disruptions, but was wrong in calling in private security.
3. The private security did not have their clothing labeled as required, (1 inch in front and 4 inches on the back I believe), and was out of line with how they handled the situation.
4. The Coeur d’Alene police were present in the parking lot because of previous threats to some of the speakers and should have been asked inside to handle the situation. The police chief after the fact said he would not have removed the lady in question, but has no bearing on whether or not he should have been consulted.
5. The lady, (I read, was a 3 time candidate for a democratic office in the county), was totally out of order, and knew what she was doing.
A few weeks ago, my wife and I attended the Democratic dinner held in Coeur d’Alene for the purpose of finding out what the Democratic platform was now. What we heard was: “resist, protest, disrupt.” Almost every speaker said that. Evan Koch, a lady that was formerly an elected official, and even Jim Jones the speaker. Although Mr. Jones did tell a story about his former boss Governor Jordan reaching across the aisle.
I believe there is plenty of blame to be shared by one and all.
