PREP TRACK AND FIELD: Viking freshmen Henry, Morgenstern compete in Nike national meet

NEW YORK — Coeur d’Alene High freshman Rowan Henry, representing North Idaho Distance Project, finished 13th in the boys 1-mile freshman race at Nike Indoor Nationals on Thursday at the Nike Track and Field Center. 

Henry finished in 4 minutes, 32.84 seconds. Viking freshman Wyatt Morgenstern was 16th in 4:33.57. 

Sawyer Hutton of Nevada-TC won the boys race in 4:22.76. 

A handful of other Coeur d'Alene High runners are scheduled to compete at the meet, which runs through Sunday.
