OPINION: Party Dysphoria

The Democrat party is in such bad shape that many Democrats don’t want to identify as Democrats anymore. Democrat leadership is acting out in strange and desperate ways that are further alienating grassroots Americans. Their attempts at “sincerity” are comical. From raw cheeseburgers on the grill to cringe TikTok videos to painful sing along rallies, people can clearly see Democrats are displaying all the authenticity of Nancy Pelosi’s face and Chuck Schumer’s hairline. Others are turning to protest and even violence, disrupting Republican Town Hall meetings and vandalizing Tesla dealerships. The curtain has been pulled back on the Democrat Party and Americans don’t like what they see.  

In response to the DOGE blitz on the Deep State, Democrat leadership is fighting to maintain the status quo. They are against common sense issues like deporting criminal illegal aliens, stopping corruption, cracking down on fraud, stopping government waste, reducing regulation, and keeping males out of female sports. They are seemingly against all the things that are wildly popular with the American People.  

For decades the Democrat party has pushed issues with the goal of “change.” A small but very vocal minority was the driving force and they finally pushed the American people beyond our tolerance to accommodate. Gay rights started as a call for equality. But it evolved through forcing us to bake a cake then to destroying someone’s reputation and livelihood if they said the wrong thing and then to being arrested if you used the wrong pronouns. The goal was clearly not equality; the goal was subjugation.  

The Obama and Biden administrations used the mechanisms of government to advance their objectives. If they could not work within the limitations imposed on government they created entities called Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and funded them with government grants because NGOs can sidestep the limitations placed on governments.  

These NGOs were also the conduit for the three letter intelligence agencies to control the press and censor social media. The Biden administration created a web of information control that promoted their agenda and silenced opposition voices. When Elon Musk bought Twitter the resulting boycott was directed by the Democrats.  

Michael Shellenberger posted on X in September 2023 “The groups behind the X/Twitter ad boycott say they're "nongovernmental," but they're not. They're funded by governments, work with intel agencies, and/or were caught spying for governments. Congress & UK Parliament must investigate this government-backed assault on free speech.”

Most of these operations have already been exposed as hoaxes including; the Russia Collusion hoax, the Fine People hoax, the Drinking Bleach hoax, the 51 intelligence “experts” claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation (which ultimately resulted in their security clearances being canceled), and the biggest hoax that Biden was mentally fit for the job.   

The majority of Democrat policies are based on lies. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is intrinsically racist and sexist, seeking to give preferential treatment based on factors not related to job performance. DEI was NEVER popular with the average citizen. It was adopted by institutions, corporations and government agencies either out of fear or in an effort to display moral superiority. The people never demanded DEI and as a consequence they are not objecting to its elimination. Where are the Pro-DEI protests and rallies? There aren’t any because nobody likes DEI, they were just afraid to speak out against it.  

The Democrats claimed that nothing could be done about the illegal alien invasion without congressional action, yet the minute Trump is elected illegal border crossings drop by 93%. In fact the Biden administration was using NGOs to PROMOTE illegal immigration under the false pretense of asylum. The plan was to import enough foreign nationals into swing states while giving them voting rights in order to secure a permanent Democrat majority. Notably the arguments to continue illegal migration are identical to the pro-slavery arguments of the 1800s. “Who will pick our cotton and work our fields?” is now “Who will pick our strawberries and mow our lawns?” 

The Democrat’s indifference to the reality of the American citizen was on full display during President Trump’s address to Congress. Just as with the Presidential Debate exposing Biden’s mental deficiencies, Trump’s address exposed the Democrat’s propaganda and misdirection. Trump broke the Democrats Fourth Wall. We can now see their policies and positions as a movie set, actors pretending to care and Trompe-l’oeil facades with no substance.  

Now that the veil of mendacity has been pierced, it is rapidly shrinking away like the skin of a balloon that’s been popped. The lies, false claims, and misdirection are being exposed daily leaving the Democrat Party in utter disarray. Having built their reality on fictions, they have no foundational principles to stand on.  

Democrats put themselves in this box with no apparent exit. They are suffering from Party Dysphoria, dissatisfied with the reality of their party. The popular positions are all Republican positions, so Democrat leaders are telling members to act like Republicans. If you believe that a man can become a woman just by deciding to be one, then calling yourself a “Republican” makes as much sense. This isn’t a decision based on true beliefs or alignment with the Republican Platform. It is a decision to satisfy a thirst for personal power and influence.  

The foundation of the Idaho Republican Party is our Platform. Anyone can identify as a Republican by simply checking a box on a form. However if you want to represent yourself as a Republican Candidate for office you should not be surprised if the Republican Party wishes to verify that your affiliation is genuine and not just a skin suit worn to deceive the voters.  

It’s just common sense.
