Kootenai Health, MultiCare plan Post Falls medical campus
Kootenai Health and MultiCare Health System said Wednesday they are planning a 30-acre medical campus in Post Falls,
Phase one will include a micro-hospital with an emergency department, imaging services and rooms for overnight patient stays, a press release said. It will include a multi-story medical office building that will initially be home to a new ambulatory surgery center, clinic offices and lab services.
It will also be home to an advanced imaging center with state-of-the-art equipment, including MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound machines and X-ray machines.
"The Prairie Medical Campus in Post Falls is a transformational investment in the future of our region's health care," said Jamie Smith, Kootenai Health CEO. "It is our mission to serve this rapidly growing part of our community."
Phase one is scheduled to begin this year and could be completed within 36 months.
