St. Vincent de Paul staff raise $200 in change collection challenge

| March 10, 2025 1:08 AM

In the spirit of giving, staff members at St. Vincent de Paul came together for a change collection challenge to support The Salvation Army Kroc Center’s Families Feeding Families food drive. Their efforts resulted in a $200 donation, helping provide food for regional food banks.

Throughout the challenge, St. Vincent de Paul employees contributed spare change, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference in the community. The funds raised will go toward restocking the shelves of local food banks.

"We are proud to support The Kroc Center’s food drive, especially during a time when food banks struggle to meet the needs of families struggling with food insecurity,” said Becca Stinson, SVDP social services case manager. “This friendly challenge was not only fun but also reinforced our commitment to serving others."

The Families Feeding Families food drive is an annual initiative by The Salvation Army Kroc Center aimed to provide nutritious food to North Idaho’s food banks. Donations like the one from St. Vincent de Paul staff help ensure that more families can enjoy meals.
