SAFE PASSAGE: Galentine's Brunch raises over $28,000
Safe Passage would like to thank Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Jacklin Real Estate for hosting a phenomenal Galentine’s Brunch, which raised over $28,000 for our Children’s Advocacy Center, serving children who have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse. We extend heartfelt gratitude to Nicole Jacklin, Megan Mongeau and the team for hosting an incredible Galentine’s Brunch to support children and families in North Idaho impacted by physical and sexual violence.
Nicole wrote, “seven years ago, my sister Megan Mongeau and I started this tradition with just 10 of our closest friends. We never imagined it would grow into a 200-woman event, bringing together incredible members of our community to raise funds for Safe Passage.”
The event, held in the spirit of friendship and community, brought together compassionate individuals dedicated to making a difference. Through generous donations, sponsorships, and an outpouring of support, funds raised will directly provide critical advocacy, forensic interviews, counseling, and resources to help child survivors heal.
“We are deeply moved by the generosity of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Jacklin Real Estate and everyone who attended this year’s Galentine’s Brunch,” said Amanda Krier, executive director.
Their commitment to creating a safer, more supportive community for children and families is truly inspiring. This event not only raised essential funds as federal funding continues to shrink but also amplified the message that children experiencing sexual and physical abuse are not alone.
Safe Passage remains committed to providing a path toward healing for those who have endured abuse. The success of this event highlights the power of community collaboration in breaking the cycle of violence and supporting survivors on their journey to recovery as they grow into adults and live free from abuse.
