SCHOOL CHOICE: We already pay for schools

This is a reference to the article on Jan. 7 on Gov. Little’s State of the State speech. I am concerned about the issue of public and private schools. First I do not believe that the public should have to support private schools. That would be the decision of parents where to send their children to school.

We already pay taxes for schools. Have you looked at your tax bill for School District 271? We do not need to spend more. This $50 million that Gov. Little speaks about is our money. Right now I believe that there is not a school district in the state of Idaho that could not use that money. Just look at Lakeland School District right now.

And folks just remember that is our money. No matter where it comes from. Taxpayers. I feel that the school district throughout Idaho need it more than the parents do. Remember it is their choice. Not ours.
