Joana Ensley, 64

| January 26, 2025 1:00 AM

Joana was born Aug. 27, 1960, and went home to Jesus on Jan. 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jona was an incredible soul. She was so intelligent, beautiful and full of life and humor. You were blessed if you knew her. She was an incredible mother, always there but always letting her kids find their own way. One only has to see the results of her parenting to know she was very special and got it right.

No man could have been blessed more by God. She was my everything.

She retired in 2024 as a manager of a multimillion-dollar business, where she excelled — showing the boys what her generation called work. Her self-taught skills for dealing with the public should have been in a top-ten book.

One thing I know for sure is that Heaven has become even more beautiful. Love you always and forever.

Jona is survived by her husband, Marvin Standley; her children, Chance Kophamer, Erin Kophamer and Nancy Shoemaker; her sister, Bobby Ensley, and her brother, Kevin Ensley; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jayda and Jayce; her sister-in-law, Ruth Ann; and her niece, Marissa.

She was preceded by her parents, Mary and Robert Ensley.

The celebration of life ceremony for Jona will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. MST at Txoko Ona, Inc., located at 333 South Main St., Homedale, ID 83628.

As we gather to remember and celebrate Jonas' life, we invite you to bring your fondest memories of her. We encourage you to leave your memories and upload photos of Jona to the memorial page as we keep her spirit alive in our hearts. Your shared memories and photos will serve as a comforting reminder of the beautiful life she lived and the countless hearts she touched.
