Trail Foundation annual meeting tonight
The North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation's annual meeting is scheduled 5:30 to 7 p.m. tonight at Vantage Point Brewing.
The public is welcome to hear about successes in 2024 and plans for 2025. Each attendee can receive a complimentary beverage.
Mike Gridley, foundation board member, told the Coeur d'Alene City Council on Tuesday that the trail is used annually by hundreds of thousands of people. They walk, run, bike and skate.
He said the trail is good for unity.
"We need to connect our community, and the trail does that," Gridley said.
The trail is 23 miles long and extends from the Idaho/Washington state line to Higgens Point, 6 miles east of Coeur d’Alene at the end of Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.
A Friend of the Trail one-year membership is $60, while a family membership is $150, corporate is $500 and community supporter is $1,000.
