COEUR d'ALENE — The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be shown for three nights at the Kroc Center beginning Friday night.

Showings begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday night and at 6 p.m. Sunday night, according to a press release from Mountain Fever Productions.

Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. The three-night series will also be offered with a discounted price of $57.

A total of 21 films are being toured this year, the press release said. This year also marks the 29th year the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival has come to the Coeur d’Alene area. A complete list of films can be found at www.mountainfever.us.

This year, a portion of the Banff Sun Valley shows proceeds will go to the Kroc Center's 3rd Grade Swim Program, which aims to have Kootenai County children knowing how to swim by the third grade.

"Since arriving in Coeur d’Alene in 1996, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival has been about community; this year is no different," the press release said.

The Banff World Tour immediately follows November's Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, where a selection of the top films submitted to the Festival go on a tour worldwide.

The World Tour reaches over 550,000 audience members through more than 1,100 screenings in 500 locations in 40 countries, according to the press release.

All tickets are sold through the Kroc Center website at https://www.kroccda.org/kroc-cda/events/.
