| January 22, 2025 1:00 AM

The Idaho Community Foundation announced Tuesday it is inviting Kootenai County students to apply for a variety of scholarship opportunities to support them as they pursue higher education.

Scholarships include:

• Alois and Marie Goldmann Memorial Scholarship Fund — Available to graduating seniors from any Idaho high school attending an Idaho-based higher education institution.

• Anne Veseth Memorial Scholarship Fund — Provides scholarships for students studying fire ecology or auto mechanics or for current wildland firefighters studying any subject at a two- or four-year college in Idaho.

• Mike Crapo Math and Science Scholarship Fund — Five scholarships will be awarded to Idaho residents enrolling as full-time freshmen at an Idaho college or university, majoring in math or science.

“These scholarships are made possible by generous Idahoans who believe in the power of education,” Idaho Community Foundation board member Heidi Rogers of Coeur d’Alene said in the news release. “They offer a unique opportunity for students to pursue their dreams while strengthening the future of Idaho communities.”

Applications for many scholarships close March 15. Students interested in applying are encouraged to go to idahocf.org for detailed eligibility criteria, application guidelines and deadlines.

The Idaho Community Foundation recently merged with the Idaho Nonprofit Center.
