Rathdrum man dies in crash

A Rathdrum man died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday.

According to the Idaho State Police, a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 43-year-old male was southbound on Spirit Lake Cutoff Road when the vehicle left the roadway into a densely wooded area and overturned around 4:30 p.m. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Evidence was found at the scene to indicate that alcohol may have been involved in this crash, ISP said. 

The next of kin has been notified.

An investigation continues.
