SANDPOINT — Landree Simon hit five 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and the visiting Lakeland Hawks jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead en route to a 49-41 victory over the Sandpoint Bulldogs in the girls Battle for the Paddle spirit basketball game Friday at Les Rogers Court.
Karstyn Kiefer and Mariana Bullington added nine points each for Lakeland (10-4, 2-3 IEL), which held Sandpoint to 10 first-half points.
Brecken Mire scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half for Sandpoint (7-10, 3-4).
Lakeland, which beat Sandpoint 60-50 at home on Jan. 7, plays host to Lewiston on Tuesday.
