PREP BASKETBALL: Taylor scores 11 in third as Kellogg moves past Wallace boys
• BOYS
WALLACE — Junior Draeden Taylor scored 11 of his game-high 29 points in the third quarter for the Kellogg Wildcats in a 55-34 win over the Wallace Miners at Kirby Krulitz Court on Monday.
“We came out a little flat I think and Wallace took advantage of it,” said Kellogg coach Mike Martin, whose team led 21-19 at halftime before outscoring the Miners 20-6 in the third quarter. “They turned us over a little more than we’d like in the first half, but the guys really turned it on in the second half. Draeden did a good job of attacking the basket in the second half and getting to the line.”
Senior Brodie Robinson scored 16 points for Kellogg (6-4), which hosts Timberlake tonight.
Sophomore Emmitt Myles scored seven points for Wallace (6-5), which hosts Coeur du Christ on Thursday.
