PREP WRESTLING: Lake City rallies past Nampa
COEUR d’ALENE — It didn’t look great for a while for the Timberwolves.
Trailing 31-6, had one more result gone the Nampa Bulldogs way, the chances of a rally were done for Lake City.
Duncan Morrow got a pin at 144 pounds for the Timberwolves, who won the final six matches to claim the 48-38 dual win at Coeur d’Alene High.
“We’ve got a ton of experience in the back end of our lineup,” Lake City coach Corey Owen said. “Duncan, he was in a back and forth match and it was our first win of the dual. If that goes the other way, we’re hurting. We were still down nine in Cliff’s (Eddington) match (at 190) and it was 3-1. He did a good job of putting on the offense. Those two were really the matches of the night.”
Morrow (144), Joey Gallagher (150), Tucker Bridwell (157), Nathan Booth (175), Eddington (190), Garrett Leonard (215) and Sebastian Mosman (285) had pins for Lake City, which competes in the River City Duals today and Saturday at Post Falls High.

COEUR d’ALENE — Rocco White (113 pounds), Tanner George (132) and Jordan Schield (138) notched wins for the Vikings in a dual victory over the Bulldogs at Coeur d’Alene High in a tuneup for the River City Duals.
“Nampa’s a well-coached team,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. “We competed really hard and our guys were excited to wrestle and score some points. We’ve got some weights where we’ve got to fix some problems, but Rocco, Tanner and Jordan had some really big wins for us tonight and wrestled really well.”
Colton Tucker (150), Jack Mayer (157) and Brock Armstrong (165) had pins for Coeur d’Alene, which competes in the annual River City Duals tonight and Saturday at Post Falls High.
